I smelled the saltiness of tears today, I thought I'd let you know. As all memories of the past flooded my mind, Tears started to flow. My bedroom is a monstrous beast, I can't even enter without being chewed up and spit out. For this is where all of the horrible things happened. This was where we took the wrong route. But first, the happy things. I'll address those that made us smile. Because, those remembrances are fonder to the heart, I'll try and let love last for a little while. Have you disappeared? Off the face of the earth, I mean. If you haven't, That's sure how it seems. My mind is numb with all this tension, I don't know how to act anymore. I begin to taste the smell of burning leaves As my thoughts rumble; Shuffling through each and every memory of you and I. It's not letting me forget anything about you. A vision of arms being thrust towards me angrily causes me to flinch and fall to the ground.

The hand That wiped the tears of sexual innocence from my eyes Is now the same hand that doesn't even want to be grasped by Mine. The arms That once encircled me and made me feel oh so safe after this deed we had done Are now arms that push me away And don't want me near them. The lips That kissed mine to take the thought of the current pain building up from love making off my mind Are now the same lips that won't even whisper my Name. The heart That claimed to be overflowing with love for me Is now the heart that doesn't want me. The pure and simple fact I have to realize is that you used me.

Just as winter is frigid and quiet, love is much the same.  I had given up the only pure thing about myself to you, something you had given away long before I strolled along. as foreign and cosmic as destiny had seemed, that's what I thought we were, destiny. but my thoughts began to crumble like that of sand castles being crushed and pummeled underneath the non ceasing waves. my mind would get caught up and trapped on the small, yet giant, fact that we had had sex. my heart attempted to steer my brain away from logic and said that only lovers have sex. it's how they show their undying affection for each other. my brain didn't

bodies intertwined as our lips move in perfect synchronization. your pants lay on the floor, curled up with mine. the only sound we hear is our ragged, fast paced breathing. your breath tickles my neck as it glides down my torso, pelvis' pressed together, hands grip in each others' hair. while pain and pleasure sit well together in this lovely paradise we're in. thrusting and squirming, moaning and groaning. after it's done, we'll lie in a heap. and breathe a long sigh of deep gracious relief. there isn't regret, only love.
