Literature Text

The nighttime sky is a horrendously bright blue;
While the grass is dead and rusted.
Your warm, loving body lays beside my cold, reserved one tonight.
You reach out for my hand;
And I grasp on as if it were a life preserve.
I should be shying away from you;
Should be saying no.
My heart's inhabited,
Yet empty all the while.
Blinded by right and wrong,
I hold on tightly.
Something then passes through your body and into mine inconspicuously;
I should have let go at that instant..
But, I let it pump through me,
Let it claim me.
With an adoring word or two,
Your body quiets down,
Sending you off to sleep.
My pulse quickens and my breathing becomes panicked;
I attempt to loosen your grip, but it's already inside my chest.
Searching for a heart that's not there.
You see, I've already given mine away;
For there's not one for you to take as your own;
None to take the place of the heart you've just given away.
Your breathing becomes erratic and your eyelids flutter.
With one last shudder,
Your body becomes still.
I never once saw this coming;
Never thought that I'd have to deal with this pain.
The pain of having two loves loving you;
The pain of having two hearts inhabiting you.
It's my own doing, though.
For I led your mind astray and made you think loving things
For a girl whom was already captivated by another.
Whom had already fallen in love.
A very emotional feel this poem has for me.
Er..
Just tell me your thoughts and feelings?
ThanksOhSoMuch.

This gave me butterflies and my heart turned a few thousand circles whilst reading this.

I don't want to be insulting, and I hope I don't, but this reminded me of the relationship in Twilight. I love Twilight and so this works really well for me, but it's the idea of the cold bodies, the "I should be shying away from you"
It all flows beautifully and I just feel in love, even though I'm not, because of how well you manage to capture the reader.

I have no suggestions on this as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.
